Claude Limit & Usage Tracker + Fable 5
Claude’s usage limits are invisible until you’ve already hit one.
You’re deep in a refactor. Claude has the whole context. You send the next message.
Wall. Limit reached. Resets in 2h 11m.
No warning at 80%, no “you’re running low.” One message you were working, the next you weren’t.
It’s worse than a normal rate limit because there are two windows running at once: a rolling 5-hour session limit and a separate weekly cap. You can be fine on one and nearly out of the other, and nothing on screen tells you which.
So people guess. Some ration the tool they’re paying for because they can’t see what’s left. Others don’t ration at all and get cut off at the worst moment.
The fix
Claude Usage Meter puts a thin strip above the Claude composer showing session, weekly and Fable usage, live. There’s also a forecast chip that watches your burn rate and estimates when you’ll actually hit the wall.
No dashboard, no account to connect. The number sits where you’re already looking.
